To anyone on the fence about these, I just wore mine for the first time yesterday and they are incredible. I'm a traditional spiked golf shoe guy, but most of the new shoes dont let you replace spikes anymore so I went with these. The pattern they use on the bottom of the shoe is well thought out and I felt very secure on all lies/shots. It is a wide shoe, which is great for me personally, and there is no break in period. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future. Highly recommended :)
I originally did this review in March of 2023. Nearly a year later, I still find myself reaching for these on a regular basis. The more I wear them, the more cemented I am in my opinion that these are the best, most versatile golf shoes from TRUE. It's for this reason I have them ranked as the best overall all-day shoes on the market.
Simply put, this is a fantastic golf shoe. While yes, I think the Ecco outperforms it in terms of stability and arguably comfort (but not by much), these shoes look better than the C4. Throw in the fact that they're also $50 cheaper, and I think this is poised to become the best-selling TRUE shoe yet. They've taken performance and styling cues from a few different models and put them in a hybrid model that is greater than the sum of its parts.
A hybrid golf shoe has to get a lot right to warrant a place in a golfer's wardrobe. It has to give you grip, comfort, and support on the golf course while aesthetically blending in off it. The Lux Hybrid is one of the best examples of a hybrid golf shoe I have tested, straddling the line between comfort and performance impressively while offering a style that will suit a lot of golfers on and off-course fashion. The lightweight, low-profile nature of this golf shoe does mean it lacks a little support around on the sides of the feet than some of its competitors.

If there was a letdown in performance for the Lux Hybrid, it was the traction. The foam midsole is firm enough and the TPU heel cup with the leather saddle makes it more stable than other minimalist-style golf shoes. It will not, however, provide the same level of stability as a FJ Premiere. That's to be expected.
At $199 (now $149 on sale), these are pricey for what you get. The comfort is good but not life-changing like everyone claims. My Ecco Biom H4s are more comfortable and have better traction. The waterproofing works but the knit material stains easily. The leather saddle started showing wear after about 40 rounds. Expected more longevity at this price point.
I have narrow feet and even sized down, these shoes feel like boats. My foot slides around inside, which actually makes stability worse. TRUE's wide toe box is great for wide-footed golfers but terrible for narrow feet. Wish they offered a narrow option.
