The Titleist Players Golf Glove is a popular choice among golfers, known for its premium Cabretta leather and comfortable fit. Based on the analysis of 118 user reviews, the glove receives consistent praise for its feel and grip. However, a recurring theme is the glove's durability, with many users reporting that it wears out relatively quickly, especially for frequent players. The reviews span a range of experience levels, from beginners to seasoned golfers, offering a comprehensive view of the product's strengths and weaknesses.
Many reviewers highlight the glove's excellent grip and feel, which enhances the overall playing experience. Users appreciate the soft Cabretta leather, which provides a comfortable and secure grip on the club. Several reviews mention the glove's ability to maintain grip even in humid conditions. However, the performance aspect is somewhat marred by the durability concerns. Some users, like u/slevin011, mention wearing a hole in the palm after only a few range sessions. This suggests that the glove may not be ideal for heavy use or for players who grip the club tightly.
Pros:
* Exceptional Feel and Comfort: The glove's Cabretta leather is frequently praised for its soft and comfortable feel, enhancing the player's connection with the club.
* Excellent Grip: Many users report a secure and reliable grip, which translates to better control and performance, even in humid conditions.
* Premium Materials: The use of high-quality Cabretta leather contributes to the glove's overall feel and performance.
* Popular Choice: The glove is a well-regarded product, often mentioned in discussions about golf gloves.
* Good Fit: Several users highlight the glove's good fit, contributing to a better feel and performance.
Cons:
* Durability Concerns: The most common complaint is the glove's relatively short lifespan, with some users reporting wear and tear after only a few rounds or range sessions (e.g., u/slevin011).
* Cost: Given the durability issues, some users find the glove's price point to be a drawback, as it requires frequent replacement (e.g., u/BaconStorf).
* Sizing Issues: Some users with non-standard hand sizes (e.g., u/slevin011) have difficulty finding a perfect fit, which can affect comfort and performance.
The Titleist Players Golf Glove is a solid choice for golfers who prioritize feel and grip. The soft Cabretta leather provides a premium experience, and the glove generally performs well in various conditions. However, potential buyers should be aware of the reported durability issues. If you play frequently or have a strong grip, you may find that the glove wears out quickly, making it a potentially expensive option. If you value feel and are willing to replace the glove more often, or if you play less frequently, the Titleist Players Golf Glove is a good option. Consider the frequency of your play and your grip style when making your decision. If durability is a primary concern, you might want to explore alternatives that offer a longer lifespan, even if they sacrifice some of the premium feel.
I know that I have pretty small hands, but what grip size would you recommend for my hand size? Thank you!
I play mizuno 923 jpx forged that I bought a year ago and absolutely love them. Dropped from a 5.3 to 1.9 by the end of this season. They generate a good amount of spin and are workable, can be played by anyone from scratch to a 20+ imo. A buddy of mine has the srixons and swears by them as well.
Hey r/golf, Looking for some guidance here. Super active golfer, 15 Handicap. I am absolutely chewing through golf gloves at a crippling (dollar amount) rate, and wanted to get some opinions/thoughts. I love to play the Titleist Players Glove, and I really like it to feel tight to hand so I would play a Large, but I just shredded the bottom palm part of my glove. I moved up in sizes to both XL at first and XXL next, but I’m still have the issue. I tried playing the Vice Gloves, as they are like 10 bucks cheaper per glove, but they fall apart faster than the Titleist ones. (My opinion is the build quality just isn’t there, tear constantly at the palm) Now, I’m sure some of this is caused by pressure from my grip, and I recently shifted my grip to be more neutral and attempting to hit more of a draw. This has helped some. I have tried the FootJoy WeatherSof, and they last longer, but I hate the feel on my hand. Any guidance/opinions/thoughts are welcome. Thanks
For the big black velcro strap on your golf glove loving folks out there, what am I missing? I see a lot of people playing this glove and I am beginning to feel a bit of FOMO Are there some special powers this particular glove holds?
I’ve tried most brands from the premium Titleist players glove over to cheap Footjoys and even Kirkland’s. The issue I have is I have size M/L hands, but stubby thumbs. Anyone got a similar issue? Stubby thumbs but normal sized fingers. If so what’s the best glove you’ve tried?
