The TaylorMade Tour Preferred Flex Golf Glove is marketed as a premium golf glove, designed for comfort, feel, and performance. Crafted from quality materials, it aims to provide a secure grip and a comfortable fit, allowing for optimal club control. Based on the reviews, the glove has a strong following, but also some significant issues.
Many users rave about the glove's performance, particularly its grip and feel. William Han highlights the "Sturdy Feel, Great Grip (even with Sweat)," a common sentiment among reviewers. The glove seems to excel in providing a confident connection with the club, even in challenging conditions. Several users also mentioned the comfort of the glove, with Marley Burr noting how much they "really love the look and feel of it."
However, the performance is significantly hampered by durability concerns. The most frequent complaint is the glove's tendency to tear prematurely. Marley Burr's experience of the glove ripping within two weeks is echoed by other users, with the tear often occurring near the Velcro closure. This issue undermines the glove's overall performance and value.
Pros:
* Excellent Grip: The glove provides a secure and confident grip, enhancing club control.
* Comfortable Feel: Many users praise the glove's comfortable fit and feel, making it enjoyable to wear during a round.
* Premium Materials: The glove is made with high-quality materials, contributing to its overall feel.
* Positive Initial Impression: Users are generally impressed with the glove's feel and performance right out of the box.
* TaylorMade Brand: The glove benefits from the reputation of the TaylorMade brand.
Cons:
* Durability Issues: The most significant drawback is the glove's tendency to tear or rip prematurely, particularly around the Velcro area.
* Short Lifespan: Several users reported the glove failing after only a few rounds or weeks of use.
* Potential for Blisters: One user reported the glove causing blisters on their ungloved hand, suggesting a potential fit or friction issue.
The TaylorMade Tour Preferred Flex Golf Glove presents a mixed bag. On the positive side, it offers excellent grip and a comfortable feel, making it a pleasure to use. However, the recurring issue of poor durability is a major concern. The glove's tendency to tear prematurely significantly impacts its value and overall user experience. While the glove may excel in performance when new, its short lifespan makes it a risky purchase for frequent golfers. If you're willing to accept the possibility of a short lifespan, or if you're a casual golfer who doesn't play often, the glove might be worth considering. However, for those who play regularly and expect their equipment to last, the durability issues are a significant drawback that may make other options more appealing. Consider the mixed reviews and the potential for a short lifespan before purchasing this glove. You may want to look at other gloves if durability is a priority for you.
Great Fit. This glove fit well. Very comfortable and breathable. Good glove and good price. It serves it purpose well.
Choose amazon or UPS for delivery. Good product, poor handling by the post office. Was in the local distribution center for a week!
Golf glove. My favorite golf glove. Perfect fit
Ripped within 2 weeks of use. Off the bat I have to say that this is one of the most comfortable gloves i've used and I really love the look and feel of it. The tear was right on the back of my hand where the velco is and it teared along that line as i was adjusting the glove on my hand. It was really unfortunate, but I have to say that when I contacted TaylorMade about this, they immediately set me up with a representative who got my information and are sending me a replacement for it. I'm hoping this is just a one off and i'll be more careful about adjusting (pulling the end of that side). Otherwise great glove, great fit, great look and thanks to TaylorMade for the great customer service and replacement. Solid 4 stars and would recommend this to anyone who wants a soft glove.
