Before buying I read all these bad reviews about club tangle and I just don't see it. You're putting 14/15 clubs in a bag, of course every now and then one will get 'stuck' a little and you wiggle it a bit, comes out. I don't know what people expect, but IMO the regular Ping Hoofer is a great bag.
For some reason the sheets of fabric that separate the sections do not extend all the way to the bottom (by about maybe 10 inches) so the grips tend to bind pretty easily. Best shoulder straps in the game though hands down.
The PING Hoofer 14 is right there when it comes to the best stand bags for 2024. Outside of the 14-way top, this bag is a Hoofer through and through. Scored 9.5/10 and named runner-up for best stand bag of 2024.
Overall the Ping Hoofer 14 is still one of the best stand bags in the market. It is well made with easy to use pockets, comfortable straps and a host of clever details that continue to lift the Hoofer legacy created by John Solheim nearly 25 years ago. The pop-out leg mechanism he invented became the standard for golf bags in the 1990s. The Hoofer base is smaller these days, but still retains the cambered design that is just as home standing vertically as being angled when the legs are out.
Bought on sale. So far bit of a POS, clubs get stuck like crazy, should have read reviews first. Anyone have the 2024 model and did they fix this issue? Anyone modify their bag to work better? Ordered online for the price to buy some clubs sleeves is probably same as shipping back to store. I'm thinking some thin sleeves in the club holes at least in some of them would help. Or cutting some dividers out making it a 7 way.

I bought the new ping hoofer 14. I love the pocket setup and little side pockets, it's perfect my ocd storage needs but the club tangle just trying it in the basement seems odd. Anyone have real world feedback and thoughts? Can you live with it or too annoying over time?
If you carry 14 clubs + accessories (alignment stick etc.) definitely avoid. I have a hoofer lite and I lose my mind with more than 11 in.
