Ghost Golf Anyday Stand Bag - 14-Way Dividers (Katana)

Overall Score: 8.2/10
The Bottom Line
The Ghost Golf Anyday Stand Bag with 14-way dividers is a head-turning, feature-packed premium stand bag that delivers on aesthetics and build quality. MyGolfSpy named it the Best Premium Stand Bag for 2024, and owners consistently praise its looks, storage, and attention to detail. However, at 6.5 lbs it's one of the heaviest stand bags on the market, there are legitimate durability concerns (particularly discoloration on lighter colors), and the $415 price tag is steep when competitors like Ping and Sun Mountain offer similar functionality at half the cost. If you primarily ride or use a push cart and want the best-looking bag on the course, the Ghost Anyday delivers. If you walk regularly, look elsewhere.
What Is the Ghost Golf Anyday?
Ghost Golf is a relatively newer entrant to the premium golf bag market, positioning itself as a lifestyle-forward brand targeting younger golfers. Their marketing leans heavily on "limited edition drops" โ each colorway gets a unique name like "Katana," "Maverick," "Oreo," "Patriot," and "Ronin." The bags aren't numbered limited editions, so how limited they actually are is debatable.
The Anyday series is their flagship stand bag line, available in both 7-way and 14-way divider configurations. The 14-way version reviewed here (ASIN: B0D7J3YWW6, Katana colorway) retails for $415 with no discounts โ Ghost doesn't do sales.

What People Love
Premium Build Quality (Mentioned by ~80% of reviewers)
The single most consistent piece of feedback across every source is that the Ghost Anyday feels premium. The synthetic leather is frequently compared favorably to Vessel's Player IV bags โ widely considered the gold standard for premium golf bags.
"Fantastic quality. The dual straps are extremely comfortable. Big upgrade for me. Now I'm upgrading my clubs to something worthy of this premium bag!" โ Amazon reviewer
"The best golf bag ever!!!! No kidding. It's a great quality. I couldn't be happier." โ Amazon reviewer
Breaking Eighty's review confirmed the build quality, noting the synthetic leather is "similar in quality to the Vessel Player IV bags, and a step above the Stitch MIY series bags."
Head-Turning Aesthetics (Mentioned by ~70% of reviewers)
This bag gets compliments. A lot of them. Multiple reviewers mention that playing partners and strangers on the course comment on the bag every round.
"I get compliments on this bag literally every time I play. The Katana colorway is stunning." โ Amazon reviewer
"First impressions, it's marvelous to look at." โ Reddit u/GolfBagFan
The limited-edition colorway approach appeals to golfers who want something unique. The Japanese-inspired Katana design, in particular, stands out in a sea of generic black and navy bags.
Feature-Rich Storage (Score: 9.0/10)
The Anyday is what Breaking Eighty called a "Maximalist" golf bag โ and they're right. The feature list is extensive:
"Even the unboxing experience felt premium. The bag comes well packaged with all the extras neatly presented." โ Amazon reviewer
Excellent Stand & Stability (Score: 8.5/10)
The carbon fiber legs with the rotator stand system receive near-universal praise. The bag deploys smoothly and stays put even on slopes.
"The carbon fiber legs on this stand bag are incredibly strong and lightweight. Never had an issue with it tipping over unlike my old bag." โ Amazon reviewer
MyGolfSpy testers scored it between 86 and 98 out of 100, with the stand system being highlighted as a particular strength.
Included Accessories (Score: 9.0/10)
Ghost includes more extras than most competitors:
This adds legitimate value to the $415 price point and makes the package feel complete out of the box.
What People Don't Love
It's Heavy โ Really Heavy (Score: 6.0/10)
This is the #1 complaint, bar none. At 6.5 lbs, the Ghost Anyday is the heaviest premium stand bag on the market. For context:
And that's empty. Load it up with 14 clubs, balls, rain gear, water bottles, and accessories and you're easily carrying 25+ pounds.
"I bought this expecting to walk with it regularly. After one round my shoulders were killing me. Not a walking bag despite what the marketing says. Returned it." โ Amazon reviewer
"The very first thing I said when pulling my Anyday out of the box was 'wow, this feels heavy.'" โ Breaking Eighty
Breaking Eighty explicitly cautioned: "I wouldn't buy this bag if you're looking to make this your everyday carry bag."
Ghost's own marketing calls it a "lightweight design" at 6.5 lbs, which is misleading at best. If you walk 18 regularly, this is not your bag.
Durability Concerns โ Discoloration (Concerning)
Perhaps the most alarming feedback comes from Reddit, where multiple users report discoloration on lighter-colored bags after just a few months of use:
"After only a few outings the gray bag started having white aliasing on it that got worse over time. I could wipe it down with a damp cloth, but the white discoloration came back after it dried again." โ Reddit u/DiscoloredBag
"It started discoloring after a few months and they did not stand by the product." โ Reddit u/DisappointedOwner
This is a significant concern for a $415 bag. The discoloration issue appears to primarily affect lighter colorways (gray, lighter patterns). Darker colorways like the Katana may be less susceptible, but there isn't enough long-term data to be certain.
Customer Support Issues
Ghost's warranty support has been criticized by those who experienced quality issues:
"I contacted Ghost and because it was beyond a year, they were unwilling to do anything at all about it. A zipper also broke on one of the side pockets, but they clearly weren't interested in doing anything about it." โ Reddit
"They also delete or don't post negative reviews so don't believe their 1000 5 star reviews." โ Reddit
For a premium-priced product, the warranty support doesn't seem to match the premium positioning. This contrasts with brands like Ping, which have a reputation for standing behind their products for years.
Logo Overload
Breaking Eighty counted 14 visible Ghost logos on the bag. For some golfers, this is a dealbreaker:
"There are Ghost logos everywhere. It should be less about the brand, and more about the product." โ Breaking Eighty
"For $415 I expected something more understated and classy." โ Amazon reviewer
Ghost clearly wants maximum brand visibility. Whether you love or hate this depends on personal taste, but it's worth noting that competitors like Vessel and Stitch take a more restrained approach to branding.
No Large Garment Pocket
Several reviewers, including those on Reddit and Breaking Eighty, miss having a single large garment/apparel pocket. The Anyday instead offers two smaller pockets on the lower half of the bag. They're spacious enough for rain gear or layers, but golfers who prefer one big pocket may find this frustrating.
"Only thing I miss is a full length side pocket." โ Reddit r/golf
Flimsy Dividers (Some Reports)
While the 14-way divider system is a selling point, not all users are satisfied with the divider quality:
"Even though it has full length dividers, the dividers are flimsy/thin and not stitched, causing the golf grips from one slot to start going into another." โ Reddit
This seems to be a minority complaint โ most users are happy with the club organization โ but it's worth testing in person if possible.
How It Compares to Competitors
| Feature | Ghost Anyday 14 | Vessel Player IV Pro | Ping Hoofer 14 | Sun Mountain 4.5 LS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $415 | $465 | $290 | $280 |
| Weight | 6.5 lbs | 5.5 lbs | 5.1 lbs | 4.9 lbs |
| Dividers | 14-way full | 6-way | 14-way | 14-way |
| Material | Synthetic leather | Synthetic leather | Nylon | Nylon |
| Stand | Carbon fiber | Aluminum | Aluminum | Aluminum |
| Magnetic pocket | Yes | No | No | No |
| Cooler pockets | Yes (4) | No | No | No |
vs. Ping Hoofer 14 ($290): The Hoofer is the no-nonsense workhorse โ 1.4 lbs lighter, proven durability, and $125 cheaper. It lacks the premium materials and aesthetics of the Ghost, but it's a better pure walking bag. Choose Ping if function > form.
vs. Sun Mountain 4.5 LS ($280): Similar value proposition to the Hoofer. Lighter, cheaper, proven. Sun Mountain's bags are legendarily durable. If you care about longevity over looks, Sun Mountain wins.

Who Should Buy This Bag
โ Golfers who primarily ride or use a push cart โ the weight doesn't matter on a cart, and the features shine
โ Golfers who want to stand out โ this bag gets compliments every round
โ Feature-maximalists โ if you want every pocket, holder, and accessory, this delivers
โ Younger golfers who appreciate lifestyle branding and limited-edition drops
โ Gift buyers โ the unboxing experience and wow factor make this an incredible gift
Who Should Avoid This Bag
โ Walkers โ at 6.5 lbs empty, this is too heavy for regular walking
โ Minimalists โ if you prefer understated bags, the 14 logos will drive you crazy
โ Budget-conscious golfers โ a Ping Hoofer does 90% of this at 70% of the price
โ Golfers in humid climates โ the discoloration reports are concerning, especially for lighter colors
โ Golfers who value warranty support โ Ghost's post-warranty support has been criticized
Final Verdict
The Ghost Golf Anyday 14-Way Stand Bag is a legitimately impressive product that earns its premium positioning through exceptional aesthetics, generous features, and quality materials. MyGolfSpy's "Best Premium Stand Bag for 2024" designation isn't undeserved.
But premium pricing demands premium performance in every area, and the Ghost falls short in a few key places: it's too heavy for its category, there are real concerns about long-term durability (particularly discoloration), and the customer support doesn't match the price point.
If you go in with eyes open โ understanding this is essentially a premium cart/push cart bag that happens to have a stand โ and you choose a darker colorway to mitigate discoloration risk, you'll likely love the Ghost Anyday. It's a conversation starter, a compliment magnet, and a genuinely well-built piece of golf equipment.
Just don't try to walk 18 with it.

Fantastic quality. The dual straps are extremely comfortable. Big upgrade for me. Now I'm upgrading my clubs to something worthy of this premium bag!
The best golf bag ever!!!! No kidding. It's a great quality. I couldn't be happier. The Katana colorway gets me compliments literally every time I play.
Similar in quality to the Vessel Player IV bags, and a step above the Stitch MIY series bags. The carbon fiber legs are incredibly strong. But there are Ghost logos everywhere โ I personally prefer more subtle golf bags.
The stand mechanism is rock solid and the 14-way divider system is best in class for a stand bag. Storage is generous. Weight is the main concern for walkers โ this is not an ultralight bag.
I get compliments on this bag literally every time I play. The Katana colorway is stunning. Even the unboxing experience felt premium โ the bag comes well packaged with all the extras neatly presented.
It's marketed as a stand bag but this thing is HEAVY. Loaded up it's easily 6+ pounds. If you walk 18 regularly, look at the Sun Mountain 2.5+ instead. Beautiful bag though.
After about 8 months the stitching started coming apart near the bottom. For a $415 bag I expected much better longevity. Ghost's 30-day warranty means you're on your own.
I've had both. The Vessel bags have leather zipper pulls vs the Ghost bag that has rubber feeling zipper pulls. I feel that the Vessel bags are more premium and well constructed overall.
