We are the last group before a league is set to start, so there a good number of people in the immediate vicinity, either watching, getting loose, or on the practice green. Know your process for every swing element: ball alignment, distance from ball, grip, left arm, swing plane, tempo, etc. Become militant about it. Don’t just step up and swing, go over the things you want to do. Write it down if you have to. Stepping to the ball and swinging without a process is a waste of time. I cannot emphasize that enough. \n\n\n\nDriver, driver, driver. If you can’t hit your driver consistently, the rest doesn't matter. You cannot lose balls off the tee. You cannot get in trouble more than once or twice per round at absolute most. Get the driver super consistent, because almost everything is derived from that one club. It needs to be the most reliable club in your bag. \n\n\n\nPractice chipping a lot, you need that feel. Your lob/sand wedge is going to bail you out A LOT on missed approaches that are nonetheless close. I'll learn to hit a fade with the irons which I used to use for distance control. As an owner, this is my opinion on the 2025 Ping Hoofer (standard, i.e. not lite, not 14, not monsoon). I exclusively carry, using 14 clubs with mid-size grips. I will start by saying I've been a bit disappointed in the aesthetic design of the Hoofer range over the past few years and this years offering is so-so.\n\n**Positives**\n\n\\- Pockets galore and the pockets have little pouches etc inside them. For me, it's far more pockets than I need, but no harm, and I appreciate others will love this. I especially like the magnetic range-finder pocket, despite not using a range-finder it's good to have a quick access pocket.\n\n\\- There are some other neat features like a recess under the bottom middle pocket, this acts as a hand-hold for when you're getting the bag in and out the car etc. Pen/pencil holder etc.\n\n\\- The legs are very good, they deploy easily every time, so no need to slam your bag down. Very occasionally they don't quite deploy all the way out and as the bag sits quite upright that does risk it not being stable.
