On the first hole, there was some glitch with the satellites locating me about 150yds behind where the actual teebox is -- as far as I know, the teeboxes at this course haven't ever been moved so this was likely just an error. It was also my first time using the GPS functions on a course, so it may have been related to that. I didn't have the same problem again. There were some discrepancies between where it zapped me on the course and where it loaded onto the my post-round map (see below). 8/10\n\n**Distances**: So the default screen on-course looks like [this (link)](https://i.imgur.com/8U2hyiM.jpg) -- shows you the hole number, an overhead view of the hole, and the front/mid/back distances. Closest to the pin has been super helpful for chipping and I feel like the shot shape is more accurate, especially for drivers. I have been super happy with it and am really enjoying it. I do have a fair bit of ambient light in my garage but I haven’t had any miss hits that weren’t my fault or connection issues. I wanted the mlm2pro but didn’t want that $200 a year or $500 lifetime on top of it. If you’re playing in your garage I don’t think you can go wrong with the square. When hitting into a net, you have no idea where that ball would have gone.  The range is marginally better.  Hitting off grass is the way to practice your driver and irons for sure.  Obviously it isn’t always possible, and you want to to swing, so use what you have.  I just found the less I practiced when I wasn’t playing the better I would do.  You can’t fix something you can’t see when it comes down to swing mechanics.  So much is feel and the feedback you get from knowing how you felt and where the ball actually went.  Live lessons are also much more helpful for me than video lessons.  I found the video lessons to be recipes of very few phrases to critique your swing and things to work on without being too specific.  At 1-3 rounds per month keep your expectations realistic, you will improve but not overnight.  Breaking 80 is far more about the short game and putting and staying in play over an amazing swing.
