I'm sorry but I have to say that there are two MAJOR BIG HUGE problems in how Arccos approached this:\n- The subscription on top of the subscription... this makes ZERO sense and I'm already paying $200 to Arccos and I would pay the $299 to get the Rangefinder if it integrated with in my Arccos experience if I didn't have to pay any subscription (let alone a $100 one)  on top of what I already pay... This is such a disrespect for the users.\n- The Rangefinder turning into a $300 paperweight if you don't pay the subscription after the first year!! This makes even less sense than charging an extra subscription!!! It could still work as a normal Rangefinder it just wouldn't give you the \"Play as\" and the integration with the Arccos Caddie if you didn't have the subscription for the Arccos Caddie (not the subscription for the Rangefinder, that one shouldn't exist!!).\n\nSo, this should be a $300 Rangefinder with no subscription attached to it, and work like a normal rangefinder... Then if you are an Arccos Caddie subscriber then you would get the extra features... Since using Arccos, I don't even carry a rangefinder anymore. And I kinda love that.. I love keeping my phone stashed, Apple Watch shot tracking, and that's it. My buddies are always stressing about range finder batteries, charging in the cart, leaving them behind. So while this would be a cool nice-to-have device, but not with this pricing model. The golf season here is typically from April to October.\n\nI would like to know if you can tell me whether it shows which iron or club to use directly on the rangefinder screen after you’ve measured the distance to the flag (I’m referring to the caddie function on the mobile app). This was one of the reasons I bought this device, as I thought it was shown in the promotional video when it was first launched back in September that it displays which iron you should use. I got shotscope to try out and while its cheaper, the user experience of it doesn't compare. It missed 11 shots last round, and the process for reviewing the rounds is much more cumbersome. Also, the GPS takes ages to connect and then will drop out on occasion, and don't get me started on the amount of times it fails to sync rounds and you have to restart everything. Here's my pros and cons:\nCons:\n1.it seems to struggle picking up \"lightly-hit\" shots (such as sand shots or putts).  There's an edit mode, and you can add in the shot if it misses it (you just need to remember it)\n2.  You need to edit the hole placement on the green for each green so it is somewhat able to tell where you holed out.  I believe you can just ignore it and it'll pick up the last putt, but i've just been opening it up on each green and manually sliding the hole to where i think it is on the green layout provided\n3.  This is the biggest one:  it's only happened a couple of times, but if it misses a tee-shot on a hole, it wants to stay on that hole until it thinks you've properly played it.  I might be able to ignore it, but when i pull the phone out to look at the hole i'm playing now, it'll go back to that hole it missed the shot on and it really frustrates the heck out of you.  I'm sure there's something i could do to make it right manually, but i haven't figured it out yet\n4. Because you need to keep your phone in your front pocket it feels unnatural for a golfer who keeps tees, markers and divot tools in the same place. Another small grumble is that you may, like me need to take the protective cover off your phone because this can stop the phone \"hearing\" shots. All of this will be eliminated when the new \"link\" hardware is eventually launched but this is already a year late.\nOk that is the bad news. The software works like a dream and even the wind direction indicator and green elevation is helpful. I am looking forward to using it in the summer to make me achieve more realistic club selection.\nAs it stands the Shot scope system is better because it captures data via a watch so uses passive sensors. The watch is a little prehistoric but gives you yardages and allows you to plot the cup. They have a new watch coming in a couple of months that promises to bring it up to date and their data analysis gets better all the time.","date":"2020-02-24","sentiment":"neutral"},{"productId":"prod_272","source":"YouTube","sourceUrl":"https://youtube.com/watch?v=rz3OxzWVDM4","author":"@paulward4299","rating":null,"text":"Glad you attempt to be concise, but the ticking clock - SIMPLY ANNOYING!","date":"2020-09-17","sentiment":"neutral"},{"productId":"prod_272","source":"YouTube","sourceUrl":"https://youtube.com/watch?v=rz3OxzWVDM4","author":"@WPD.razor41","rating":null,"text":"currenly using the golf pad tags,  they are ok but not totally satisfied with them i may try the arccos caddy sometime.","date":"2019-10-18","sentiment":"neutral"},{"productId":"prod_272","source":"YouTube","sourceUrl":"https://youtube.com/watch?v=rz3OxzWVDM4","author":"@seankavanagh3758","rating":null,"text":"Can you have your phone in a cradle on your trolly???","date":"2019-12-25","sentiment":"neutral"}],"total":81}
